Talk about things that bring you hope.

Let’s Discuss the Message-

READ THIS SCRIPTURE TOGETHER

LAMENTATIONS 3:21-23 Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: 22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

  • What are some things that help you remember God’s love and goodness in the midst of difficult seasons?

    Remember-

    • Your emotions are valid. But they’re not permanent

    • Your situation feels hopeless. But with God, there’s always hope

    LAMENTATIONS 3:21-23
    Yet I still
dare to hope when I remember this: 22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

     LAMENTATIONS 3:24-26

24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” 25 The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. 26 So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.

  • How do you typically handle negative or depressing thoughts and feelings? What would it look like to validate your emotions and label your feelings while also remembering they aren’t permanent?

  • Talk about a time when God brought you hope and help in a difficult moment. What did you learn about Him through that experience?

One of our Values at Orchard is

“We always ask, “What does the Bible say?”

It is encouraging to see people like Jeremiah battle the same challenges that we do today when it comes to mental health. The Bible says we can find Hope in God, and we believe it!
