Let’s Discuss the Message
I Am Thirsty
This week Shellie taught us about the significance of these three words Jesus spoke on the cross.
Take some time to read this story from the Bible
JOHN 19:28 - Jesus knew that His mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture He said, “I am thirsty.” 29 A jar of sour wine was sitting there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put it on a hyssop branch, and held it up to his lips. 30 When Jesus had tasted it, He said, “It is finished!” Then He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
The key thought for this message was this:
==> JESUS HAS THE AUTHORITY TO REVERSE THE CURSE OF THIRST

Do you have any questions lingering from this story?
WHY DID JESUS SAY “I AM THIRSTY”?
1. TO SHOW HIS HUMANITY
2. TO SHOW HIS DEITY
3. TO SHOW HIS AUTHORITY

What do you see in life that leaves you or those you love spiritually thirsty?
What ways do we try to quench our thirst other than going to Jesus?
Take Some Time to Pray Together
Pray for each other. Write down prayer requests so they can be shared with the group for the week.
One of our Values at Orchard is:
We always ask, “What does the Bible say?”
During this time leading up to Easter we believe that the words Jesus spoke while on the cross will strengthen our faith and remind us how personal His sacrifice was for each of us.
